How To Update Password For CounterPoint Ticket Auto-Posting and Credit Card Auto-Settling

The following steps allow you to update the password for the automation functionality in CounterPoint that will automatically run ticket posting and credit card settlement, if setup. Please note you may not have both of the automations set up.

Note 1: Auto-settling for credit cards only works with CPGateway service. If you are using Secure Pay, you will need to login to the Secure Pay portal to update automation settings.

Note 2: This process will most likely have to be done on your CounterPoint server. You will need the necessary information from your IT persons on how to access and login to this CounterPoint server.

Note 3: You will need the password to the Windows account that is running this automation functionality. Please contact your IT persons for this information. This account and associated password may not be the same account and password from Note 2 above.

Note 4: Your screens may not match the screen shots below exactly. These screen shots were taken from a demonstration system.

  1. Open CounterPoint.
  2. Go to MAIN MENU / SETUP / SYSTEM / USERS:






  3. Search for and select the automation user. Red Rook sets this as "AUTO", but yours may be different. You may have to search the list of users. If you do not know which user to select, you will need to skip to step 13 below to find out the user, then come back to this step:






  4. Click the Set Password button:
