"Invalid Appeal ID" Error during Transfer Memberships Sold

Symptom

 When transferring data using the advanced mapping, the integration gives an error "Invalid Appeal ID" when using advanced mapping to map to the Gift Appeal even though the Appeal ID was chosen using a lookup.

Cause

 This is due to the fact that the RE system is configured to use the Appeal ID while the RE Integration is set to use the Appeal Description (or vice versa).

Solution

 To correct this, first determine what you are using as the Appeal reference: 

 * Select Tools, User Options
 * On the Records tab, highlight Appeals
 * Check what the value is for Appeal Format

If the value is Appeal ID, run the following script on your database:

UPDATE USR_REI_PARAM_DFLT_TYP
SET SEARCH_VAL = 1
WHERE DISPLAY_NAM = 'Gift.Appeal'

If the value is Description, run this script:

UPDATE USR_REI_PARAM_DFLT_TYP
SET SEARCH_VAL = 5
WHERE DISPLAY_NAM = 'Gift.Appeal'
